About the program

Southern Africa Network for Immigrants and Refugees (SANIR) is refugee and migrant led membership network existing to create a unified and inclusive society where migrants and refugees are empowered, respected, and their rights are upheld.

SANIR is a people-centred network – focusing on policy, advocacy, human rights, social cohesion, economic sustainability, education, health, and gender inclusivity.

We insist in entering communities with respect and humility, and immerse ourselves in languages, cultures, indigenous knowledge systems and traditions.

SANIR works in and closely with communities, academia, decision makers and like-minded organisations and networks in making sure that the vision and mission of the network is met.
