About Us
The Blueprint
Welcome to the architectural plan of our movement. Here we lay out the foundational purpose, the theory of change, and the structural components that define Conecta. This is our roadmap for enabling Entrepreneurship Support Organizations (ESOs) to build inclusive and sustainable ecosystems where diverse early-stage entrepreneurs can thrive.
1. The Origin
Bridge for Billions
It all starts with the foundational purpose of Bridge for Billions: we exist to enable early-stage entrepreneurs of all kinds to thrive, generating jobs and solutions for everyone, so our economies sustainably meet the needs of all.
Conecta is not a separate entity, but the community of ESO leaders led by Bridge for Billions that focuses on strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems worldwide. We function like a global “Publishing House”:
The Authors: ESOs are the talented writers who create the programs.
The Books: Their incubation programs are the stories.
The Readers: Entrepreneurs are the audience who need these stories to thrive.
The Editor: Conecta provides the tools, methodology, and distribution to refine these narratives and ensure every entrepreneur receives the support they need.
2. Our Theory of Change
The power of a collaborative ecosystem.
Our hypothesis is that enabling entrepreneurs to thrive on a large scale needs an Ecosystemic Collaborative Effort involving various actors: ESOs, government institutions, universities, corporates, and investors.
The Logic of Change: For us, building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem is not the end goal but a way to achieve the greater aim of enabling more early-stage entrepreneurs to thrive. By creating an enabling environment, entrepreneurs contribute to economic growth, job creation, and societal development.
We are rigorous with this premise: if evidence shows that this collaborative method does not deliver notable benefits or fails to create a more supportive ecosystem for a wide range of entrepreneurs, continuing Conecta would not align with our purpose. In that case, we would need to stop Conecta and explore other ways to achieve our purpose.
3. The Three Components of Conecta
The architecture of our solution.
To validate our theory of change, Conecta operates through three interconnected components:

Co-created Incubation Programs
We collaboratively design and implement tailored incubation programs with ESOs using Bridge for Billions' digital platform for hybrid delivery. This allows ESOs to broaden their reach and support underserved entrepreneurs effectively

ESO Capacity Building (Conecta Academy)
We enhance ESOs' organizational capacity, efficiency, and financial stability through targeted training, mentorship, and tech integration

Community and Ecosystem-wide Collaboration
We build strong ESO networks that promote collaboration with corporates, public entities, and investors. This component emphasizes advocacy and peer learning to enhance ESO influence and create resilient ecosystems
4. Global Metrics & Impact
Measured by long-term success.
We don’t just care about short-term numbers; we care about the long-term health of the ecosystem. To ensure we are making a real difference, we track three critical areas:
Ecosystem Inclusivity: We use our own index to track the diversity of participants—including gender, geography, and background—to ensure we are truly supporting underserved communities.
ESO Sustainability: We measure how many organizations achieve financial and operational stability, ensuring they can remain viable pillars of their local economies.
Real Entrepreneurial Impact: We track results 3-5 years post-incubation, looking at hard data like job creation, revenue growth, and innovation to prove that our startups don’t just launch, but survive and thrive.
