An initiative from:

Unleashing the Potential of Caribbean Innovation

IDB Lab’s CARIBEquity Facility has partnered with Bridge for Billions to launch Conecta Caribbean — a bold, multi-year effort to unite and strengthen Entrepreneurship Support Organizations (ESOs) across the region. Together, we’re building more connected, resilient, and inclusive innovation ecosystems that accelerate high-impact ventures and drive long-term economic growth in the Caribbean.

What is CARIBEquity?

CARIBEquity is a Facility co-funded by the European Union and IDB Lab, dedicated to strengthening the Caribbean investment ecosystem and promoting inclusive private sector innovation.

Why Conecta Caribbean?

Conecta Caribbean, part of the CARIBEquity Facility, is an ecosystem-building initiative dedicated to strengthening entrepreneurship across the Caribbean. Through capacity building, community advocacy, and access to funding opportunities, Conecta Caribbean empowers ESOs to design and scale impactful programs that address real challenges throughout the region.

The ecosystem and our vision for change.

Around the world, thriving entrepreneurship ecosystems rely not only on supporting entrepreneurs — but on empowering the organizations that support them. Yet across the Caribbean:

  • ESOs often work in isolation, with limited collaboration and trust.
  • Many are underfunded and struggle with financial sustainability.
  • Teams operate with great dedication but insufficient resources.
  • Ecosystems depend heavily on fragmented, short-term donor programs.

Conecta Caribbean is here to change that.

We believe global progress requires a shift from isolated “ego-systems” to true collaborative “eco-systems.”

Our vision: a resilient, interconnected, and sustainable Caribbean innovation ecosystem where strong ESOs unlock entrepreneurial success — and with it, jobs, opportunities, and solutions for the region.

Building on proven ecosystem-strengthening programs across Latin America, Europe, and Africa, Conecta Caribbean brings a tested, impact-driven model to the Caribbean for the first time.
